Annual membership

Lee Valley Walking is now offering annual membership for its Sunday walks programme. The new rate is intended to level out the cost of walks between frequent and less frequent users. It is also aimed at opening up the walking group to more members by making it more affordable.

Annual membership runs from start of October to end of September and costs €55. (Couples and families also catered for, please enquire.)

The daily rate of €15 is still available to one-off visitors. Prospective new members can also pay the daily rate on their first visit before deciding to join.

Wednesday evening walks June July August
Irish language walks

In 2008 Lee Valley Walking offered an opportunity for Irish speaking on its Wednesday walks to provide an opportunity for those learning the language to practice in an informal atmosphere. This programme will continue next season. In the meantime the use of Irish is both weclomed and encouraged on the Sunday walks.

Siuloidi as Gaeilge

Tá na siuloidi oiriúnach do dhaoine atá ag foghlaim na teangan.
Uaireanta is dócha go mbíonn eagla ar dhaoine atá ar bheagáin Gaeilge nách mbeidis in ann comhrá a choimeád le daoine atá lán líofa, agus ní bhíonn deis acu labhairt le chéile go neamhfhoirmúil.
Ní ranganna atá i gceist anseo in aon chor agus níl aon teagasc ar fáil. Deis atá ann chun muinín a thabhairt dóibh as a gcumas labhartha.

GALLERY Wednesday evening walks 2008

Many thanks to everyone who particpated in the Wednesday evening walks this year. We managed most walks despite the weather and some evenings were sublime.

Go néirí libh go léir agus go raibh míle maith agaibh.
